How to Use These Prompts
Using these prompts is super easy. You can start with something like "Coloring Page of a Roaring Lion." Initially, Midjourney does a great job at keeping things in black and white, but sometimes it needs a little reminder after a few uses. Don't worry if the AI generates a colored image instead; that's where the real fun begins with editing!
Step-by-Step Editing Guide
1. Downloading and Starting in Canva. Once you have your image from Midjourney, head over to Canva. If you don’t have an account, here’s a link to create a FREE Canva account. Open a new canvas with the dimensions 11 inches by 8.65 inches, which is perfect for coloring pages.
2. Upload your image to Canva. Remember, Midjourney images are square, and we’re working with a rectangular page, so choose the best angle to fit the image onto the page.
3. Editing the Photo: Click on the photo and select the 'Edit Photo' option. Then, go to 'Adjust.' Here, you can tweak the clarity and contrast to make the lines more defined, perfect for coloring.
4. Optional Background Removal: Sometimes, the Midjourney backgrounds aren't as clear as we'd like for a coloring page. If that's the case, use Canva’s ‘Remove Background’ feature. But remember, do this only after you’ve edited the photo.
5. Applying Filters for a Black and White Effect (Also Optional): If your image is still too colorful, head over to the 'Effects' and choose a filter. I personally love the 'Ink' filter under the 'Mono' category. Play around with the intensity to get the right shade for your coloring page.
6. Final Touches and Downloading: Once you are happy with how page looks, it's time to download it. Ensure you choose a high resolution and set your printing settings to Letter Size for the best quality.
